The Clinic

Standards

In May 2007, under Drs. Nemec and Nevin's guidance and along with the help of our dedicated staff, the Cat Clinic of Seattle has once again achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. The Cat Clinic holds a place of honor within the association and the profession. Only 14% of the veterinary practices throughout the United States and Canada have made the commitment to voluntarily participate in an on site evaluation based on the highest standards in veterinary medicine. The Cat Clinic was evaluated on over 800 standards proving a strong desire to provide high-quality medicine and top-notch client service. We are proud to have been an accredited member now since 1981.

AAHA

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is an association of members who primarily treat companion animals, or pets. AAHA has over 29,000 members who hold different jobs in a veterinary clinic, including veterinarians, technicians, managers, receptionists and more.

The purpose of AAHA is to:
  • Enhance the abilities of veterinarians to provide quality medical care to companion animals
  • Enable veterinarians to successfully conduct their practices and maintain their facilities with high standards of excellence
  • Meet the publics needs as they relate to the delivery of companion animal veterinary medicine

AAHA is dedicated to "Healthy Practices, Healthier Pets." Its purpose is to enhance, support, and cultivate a veterinary community that offers the highest level of companion animal care and career satisfaction for all practice members. AAHA does this by being the total practice resource, providing standards for veterinary medicine, and offering products and services that strengthen the entire practice team.
