Resources for Coping with Loss
Losing a beloved cat can be an incredibly difficult experience. While everyone’s grieving process is unique, connecting with pet loss support resources can provide comfort, understanding, and guidance during this challenging time.
Our team can help direct you to trusted pet loss hotlines, support organizations, and other resources that may assist you as you navigate the loss of your companion animal.
Pet Loss Hotline
The Pet Compassion Careline is staffed 24/7 exclusively by Master's and Ph.D. level clinicians. For more information, call (855) 245-8214.
Tufts Pet Loss Helpline
Tufts Pet Loss Support helps pet owners who have lost an animal companion and seeks to serve the community at large by providing resources for people grieving the loss of a pet.
The helpline is staffed from 6 pm to 9 pm Monday through Thursday and has 24-hour voicemail. Calls left on the voicemail will be returned during the next shift. For more information, call (508) 839-7966.

Virtual Pet Loss Support Group
